Ok, they also have ASF, and the Hydra Banner is just the first round...

Charge them all you want, they smash everything. I was using just 14 with the ASF banner and the could take on whole armies, throw in Hyrda banner, and attacks from General and BsB and they put a hurtin on.

Never. They're stubborn. The EG and Archers get pwned. That unit is a beast.

Blood Knights + EG? I assume you mean BK + GG or EG + WR? Coz there is no way Wood Elves can have Blood Knights.

Nof, when you come down off of whatever you're on, get back to us. And maybe see if you can score some extra next time, because it seems like pretty potent stuff.

Mike, have you tried hydra banner + spears + Cauldron (+1A) yet? I don't know if I even HAVE that many dice. Overall, I'm loving the Cauldron. Trying to figure out if it's worth it to get 2.

My 1st list was with Cauldron, but I think there are better ways to spend the points.

I like the Frenzy Banner on Corsaris with Hydra BSB and +1A cauldron.

5 attacks each guy...

That's good, but I feel like they lose effectiveness really fast if they get charged. With spears, you can lose a bunch off the front and still have 30+ attacks back. I think the Frenzy banner would be better in Executioners or Black Guard.

Only Corsairs can take it, sadly. I would totally take and Executioner with it if they could have it. That would make an Executioner block worth it.

The Cauldron is really good now. I want to use one bit I can't figure how to make it ssurviable. Maybe just moce it up behind the BG and let anything that comes at it get shot to pieces by xbows.

Or something like that. I wanted to try one of everything just to get a feel for the units, and it did well enough that I haven't wanted to change it yet.

Why the Special Character?

Several reasons. Crossroads is allowing special chars, so I figure I should get used to playing with them. I wanted to go heavy on MSU witch elves, and she makes them core, so I figured I better try her out to see how she does. This list didn't go that heavy on WEs, so I could have left her home, but she's so cheap I couldn't build a good Ld 10 character I liked for the same points. And she's fucking ridiculous: 7-9 WS6 S10 attacks, with hatred? Within 24" of a cauldron she becomes stubborn and can pass that to a unit of corsairs or spearmen making almost the whole damned list stubborn. Her frenzy is a little tough to manage, and she's about as tough as a wad of toilet paper that's been sitting in the john over night, but god damn does she hit hard.
