Loremasters Cloak

Does the Loremasters Cloak for High Elves pass the ward save to the mount?

Loremasters Cloak: Gives the wearer and any unit he is with a 2+ ward save against spells. Has no effect on shooting or close combat attacks.

I would say it does because it passes to a unit he is with, he is with his dragon damnit!!!

Thoughts?

says it goes to his unit.... is a mount considered a unit in the rules book...

if not then no... if yes then... yes
