Yeah I'm done with fantasy for the foreseeable future. But I'm gonna hold on to my orcs cause you just never know [and hey, maybe they'll kick ass in 8th edition ;-) ]

Right now my time is taken up by a baby for the most part. But I get in some flames of war every once in a while.

Hey Miles, congrats on the baby! I feel you though on the game, VC and DL just ruin it. DE are nasty, but no where near as bad as the top 2. Its like 40K where you make your army to beat Marines, now its make your army to beat VC/DL.

As unbalanced as 5th edition was, at least EVERY army had broken shit, not just some.

Too bad 40k still blows.

Then throw real life and the shitty economy on top of it all... doesn't make for good gaming.

Still I plan to stick around if only because I like converting and painting.

Yeah, the tourney scene leaves a bad taste in my mouth atm. But I do miss the painting.

That’s my one gripe with Flames of war. The game system is very good and its great fun to play (objective based scenarios are just much better then what you get in fantasy) but World War II just doesn’t spark my imagination like fantasy does. And there is no real opportunity for creative converting or painting. People tend to look at you funny when you show up with tentacles on your tanks.

Not that I’m gonna let that stop me! My german space tank army of doom will rule! I mean, how could I lose? They’re space tanks….

Agree as well. FoW has great rules but I find the lack of variety too limiting.
